Art of Ancient Arabia: Heritage of Our Ancestors

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, and in the presence of H.E. Abdulrahman Badah Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Jassar, Secretary-General of NCCAL, and Sheikha Hussa Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Director-General of DAI, a special event was held on February 19, 2025, featuring the opening of the exhibition and conference titled “Art of Ancient Arabia: Heritage of Our Ancestors”, as part of Kuwait Capital of Arab Culture and Media 2025.

The exhibition showcases rare artifacts from The al-Sabah Collection, highlighting the evolution of Arabic script, ancient Arab kingdoms, and trade networks, along with the role of women in early societies. It also explores South Arabia’s connections with Persian, Byzantine, and Mesopotamian civilizations.

You can visit the exhibition at the Amricani Cultural Centre during museum hours:

Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Friday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Closed on Sundays
